Recently Canberra was the host city for the CBC National Conference and what a sensational weekend it was for all.
The ACT SCBWI branch kicked things off with an informal gathering of local members, visiting members and a terrific turn up with quite a few newbies interested in finding out what SCBWI had to offer. Everyone settled in and the talking, laughter and noise reached new levels as more arrived. How lovely it was to catch up with those who live in the far reaches of our country and that chance to share a coffee and chat is something that only a conference can bring. It was also lovely to meet some new people who bravely popped in and introduced themselves to what looked like a family wedding, rather than a morning tea. But given SCBWI is a family- they were warmly welcomed and we all squished along the long bench tables so they could join the rabble. It is my joy to announce that many of these lovely folk joined SCBWI. WELCOME to the gang folks.
Enjoy some snapshots of well-loved SCBWI faces that shared the weekend and the many events spread across the capital’s most sensational, iconic locations.
