Thank you to the amazing Susanne Gervay, director of the fabulous Writers in the Park festival. The speakers were brilliant, the cartoonists and illustrators amazing, the launches spectacular and the kids and parents seemed to be having a ball.
Thanks too to Wendy Rapee and Mihiri Udabage from Room to Read who led the charge in raising $700 for the World Change Challenge. It was helped along by the generous donation of artwork by James Foley, Lesley Vamos and Sarah Davis auctioned in fine style by Susanne Gervay.
There were two tents, one for adults, the other for kids and both were busy all day with journos, memoirists, romance writers, illustrators, storytellers and poets. Talks were moving, funny, startling and always entertaining.
Thank you to the Hughenden Hotel, for providing the stone cottage gardens of the beautiful Residences in Centennial Park, Sydney.
